Guitarist Songwriter Producer
About Daniel Wiggins
Daniel Wiggins is an English-born guitarist, songwriter, and producer currently based in Perth, Australia. With a background in theatre arts and violin, he discovered his passion for the guitar at age 11 and quickly made his mark, performing his first pub gig just a year later. After relocating to Australia with his family in 2007, Daniel began recording his early compositions and further honed his craft.
In 2012, he joined the progressive metal band Morphica, playing 8-string guitar and co-writing their debut EP, Prequel. The following year, he became a member of the WAM award-winning band Dilip n the Davs, contributing his diverse skill set to numerous festival performances and supporting international acts. He also co-produced their 2016 LP, Beautiful Delusion.
Daniel released his first serious solo album, Meditations, in 2016 and has since released ten records spanning a range of styles from acoustic to ambient to industrial and progressive rock—each infused with his distinctive sound. He records and mixes all his own material. His latest work, The Fool in Four Movements, is a 22-minute magnum opus showcasing his talents as a multi-instrumentalist and composer.
Daniel Wiggins Group: Formed to bring Daniel’s intricate studio creations to the stage, the band features bassist Mark Wiggins and drummer Rolf Fox. Together, they deliver a dynamic live experience, blending technical brilliance with raw, soulful energy.
Whiskey Nips: Formed in 2021, this project channels a more stripped-back and groove-oriented sound, contrasting Daniel’s more complex solo material. With a focus on tight, catchy songwriting, Whiskey Nips showcases Daniel’s versatility and deep connection to his musical roots.
