Born and raised in the south of England, Wiggins first dabbled in theatre arts and the violin before receiving his first guitar at age 11, sparking a life-long obsession with playing and composing music. He played his first pub gig at age 12 and continued to play in bands throughout secondary school. In 2007, Daniel moved with his family to Perth, Western Australia. Shortly thereafter, he acquired his first 8-track digital recorder with which he began recording his early compositions.

In 2012, Daniel joined progressive metal outfit, Morphica, lending his 8 string guitar parts and sharing songwriting credits on their EP, ‘Prequel’. The band also had a reputation for frequently covering songs by seminal progressive bands such as Dream Theater, Symphony X, Rush and King Crimson. Morphica’s song, ‘Crossfade’ was featured on that year’s ‘Progfest’ compilation album - a national progressive music showcase CD.

The following year marked the beginning of a 6 year tenure with WAM award-winning multi-genre band, Dilip ‘n the Davs, with whom he played hundreds of gigs across the state including many regional festival appearances and international supports for Ska legends Bad Manners and The English Beat. Wiggins co-produced the band’s 2016 album, ‘Beautiful Delusion’, which was recorded at Electric City Studios in Fremantle.

Daniel’s first solo EP, ‘Meditations’ was released later that year – an organic and emotive record that featured several guest musicians including former Morphica bandmate, Drew Griffiths with whom he co-produced the EP. Wiggins had been concurrently working on a collection of more abstract material, culminating in the first Jeanscape album, ‘The Strand’. He has gone on to release a further 3 records under this moniker, each being stylised by dark ambient textures and created using experimental composition techniques.
